Specifications and Other Information of Our TsCDase CAS# EC:3.2.1.54

Product Description

The TsCDase gene is derived from Thermococcus sp. Strain B1001 (EC: 3.2.1.54) and is recombinantly expressed in Escherichia coli.
It catalyzes the hydrolysis of cyclodextrins into maltose; specifically, α-cyclodextrin is hydrolyzed into maltooctaose, β-cyclodextrin into maltoheptaose, and γ-cyclodextrin into maltohexaose.

Unit Definition

One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that catalyzes the formation of 1 μmol of (Glcα1,4)₆Glc from β-cyclodextrin per minute at 80°C and pH 5.0.

Purity

>80%

Activity

≥1000U/ml

Suggested Usage

  1. Add the substrate to the reaction system; a buffer salt may be added as appropriate to adjust the pH to 5.0. Add a suitable amount of TsCDase (based on reaction requirements).
  2. After mixing thoroughly, incubate the sample at 70°C for 2–4 hours.
  3. To terminate the reaction, add 50% anhydrous ethanol, mix by stirring, and then centrifuge and filter the solution.
[Note] When scaling up the reaction system, the incubation time or enzyme dosage should be adjusted according to actual conditions; low-speed shaking may be used for mixing.

Storage Buffer

20mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 200mM NaCl,10% glycerol.

Shelf Life

2 years

Storage

-20°C with sealed well is 18 months.
